Modern Midtown Living

The Plaza is a complete restoration of the iconic Hammer and Nail Building. Originally designed by Gerald Crane and Norbert Gorwic, the building constructed in 1965 boasts clean mid-century modern architecture. This building was originally intended as a tribute to a local carpenter’s union. The illuminated hammer and nail signs resting atop of this 12 story building acted as a visual anchor of Midtown Detroit for many years. The Plaza has 12 stories with 72 apartments, including 50 one bedroom apartments, 20 two bedroom apartments, and 2 three bedroom floor plans. There will be retail on the first floor. Don’t miss out on the Grand Opening Specials, $100.00* monthly rent on all one bedroom floor plans and $200.00* off monthly rent on all two bedroom apartments, through January 2018!
